Architecture
Go microservices system with independent services communicating through well-defined APIs, designed for horizontal scalability and independent maintenance
Challenges
- Defining clear service boundaries to avoid unnecessary coupling
- Managing service-to-service communication efficiently and reliably
- Establishing deployment and scaling patterns for each independent service
Outcome
Demonstrated ability to design decoupled systems that scale horizontally, reducing maintenance complexity and enabling independent component evolution
Overview
Problem
Many backend systems start as monoliths that become difficult to maintain, scale, and evolve as complexity and functionality grow. Teams face challenges such as risky deployments, difficulty scaling specific components, and coupling that slows development.
Approach
I designed and implemented a microservices architecture in Go where each service has a well-defined responsibility and communicates with others through stable APIs. Each service is independent in terms of deployment, scaling, and maintenance, which makes it possible to evolve parts of the system without affecting others.
Outcome
The result is a scalable backend system where services can be developed, deployed, and scaled independently. This reduces deployment risk, allows resources to be optimized based on each service's specific needs, and supports continuous evolution without requiring full rewrites.
